Ministry Centre, Holy Trinity Church
A dramatic re-telling of real-life events and reflections by three young women who are adjusting to a new culture, country and community. Featuring humorous, tragic and everyday incidents, these monologues are told through the eyes of youngsters who have travelled far in so many ways. Followed by a short film 'The Visitor': the story of Khaleel, who was forced by war to leave Syria. He reflects on his experiences in the UK, particularly on how tending an allotment has helped him and his family.
The girls have been helped to present their stories by Margaret Branscombe, a community drama practitioner and literacy teacher at Esher High School. She lives in Cobham and is an active member of St Andrews Church.
